Funeral of Joseph Chandler.

The funeral services of the late Joseph Chandler were held in the Presbyterian church, this village, yesterday noon. Rev. Mr. Botsford preached a very impressive discourse from the following appropriate passage of Scripture: "The prayers of David, the son of Jesse, in ended." His remarks were eulogistic of the strong Christian faith and devotion which characterised the life of prayer. He was followed in some well chosen remarks from Rev. Dr. Seward, of Middletown, who bore the same testimony as to the faithfullness of his Christian walk and bearing through life, and of the sweet assurance his possessed of the Saviour on his dying bed. The services closed with a prayer by Rev. Mr. Wadsworth, of Unionville. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Thompson, Smith, Brodhead, Marvin, Yerkes and Dewitt. His remains were taken to Unionville for interment.
