MONROE
Martha Roessel, 83, of Schunnemunk Street, died Tuesday at Tuxedo Memorial Hospital.
The daughter of August and Maria Otte Hoffmann, she was born Feb. 17, 1894, in Germany. She lived in the area for 22 years.
She was the widow of Howard Roessel.
Survivors include a son Howard and a daughter, Mrs. Grace Collins, both of Monroe, and four granchildren.
A funeral mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John J. McCallan officiating.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at the Flynn Funeral Home, Stage Road.
Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Queens.
