LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ELEZER GRAY
In the name of God, Amen. I Elezer Gray of the town of Munroe County of Orange and State of New York, farmer, being weak in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be God for it do this day in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventeen and tenth day of November make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following...that is to say I promise I give and bequeath all my personal and real estate to my three sons, Elezer Gray, William Gray and James Gray and they are to take care of their mother and two sisters, namely Mary Gray and Margaret Gray during the widowhood of their mother and of the sisters as long as they stay single. I give and bequeath to my loving wife Margaret Gray and two daughters namely Mary Gray and Margaret Gray all my household goods together with fifteen dollars to each of my two daughters named above. I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah the sum of five dollars. I likewise give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Woods children the sum of five dollars.
All the above legacy is to be paid in three years after my decease. I likewise give and bequeath to my daughter Mary all the money that is coming from James Mukleroy from this time forward. Now this may certify that all my former wills gifts and bequests are void and of no effect before this date.
I constitute and appoint John Fitzgerald and my son Elezer Gray to be my lawful executors, and they are to give my body decent interment. In witness I the said Elezer Gray senior have set to this my last will and testament my hand and seal this tenth day of November One Thousand Eight Hundred and
Seventeen signed and published and declared by the said Elezer Gray for his Last W Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and of each other have published our names as Witness thereto
