Deed on file in Putnam Co., NY, Liber 78, pp. 587-588 from Charles and Frances Hadden to Charles and Martha Morley, all of Putnam Valley. Deed was dated 7 March 1896, recorded 10 March 1896. Consideration was $1. Witness was Oscar V. Barger. Land was in Putnam Valley:

Beginning at the northwesterly corner of the property herby conveyed and running south along Peekskill Hollow Road to the northwesterly corner of lands of CARRIE M. TRAVIS thence easterly along the lands of (same) to the northwesterly corner of lands of WRIGHT ALLEN, JAMES BARGER and JOHN BARGER to the southeasterly corner of lands of MILES PERRY to the northwesterly corner of the property hereby conveyed and the Peekskill Hollow Road and the place of beginning. Containing 90 acres.

Charles had previously conveyed land to Wright Allen. Land came from the estate of GILBERT HADDEN, deeded to Gilbert by Saxton Smith, executor of the will of ELIZABETH DUSENBURY on 1 May 1871, recorded 25 May 1871 in Book 49, page 591.

Transcriptionist NOTE: Next deed - Book 78, page 589 is a quit claim dated 7 March 1896 between Frank H. Hopkins and Gertie L. Hopkins of Yonkers, Westchester Co. and Fred H. Hopkins and Delephine Hopkins and Nellie Baxter of Peekskill and Elizabeth Berry of Putnam Valley, heirs of the estate of Gilbert Hadden and Charles and Sarah F. Hadden of Putnam Valley to ?, recorded 10 March 1896, witnessed by Oscar V. Barger and J. W. Baxter. Description of land was for the same as above.
