Daniel Hedden to William M. Hedden [I:504]

Putnam County Deed Book I, pp. 504-505 lists Daniel Hedden of Phillips Town to William M. Hedden of Carmel. Deed is dated 30 Nov 1825, recorded 16 May 1835. Consideration given was $1250 for 50 acres of land in Carmel. Witnesses were Daniel D. and Phebe Ann Travis.

Beginning at the corner of WILLIAM HEDDENS where (joins?) SAMUEL W. (TRAVIS?) land and from thence as WILLIAM HEADENS line runs a easterly course to the land of ELINER CROOKSTANS land from thence a northerly course as Crooktons line runs to a chestnut oak marked by the land of DANIEL HUNTS land and from thence along the land of said Hunts to a birch bush a corner of WILLIAM M. HEDDEN land and from thence to apple tree a corner of said Heddens land and from thence easterly course to appletree a corner of said Heddens land and and from thence along the land of said Hedden to the land that in the (purchasing?) of MARY CHADWICK and from thence as the said Mary Chadwick land runs to a stake and stones a corner of the within mentioned bounds and from thence a southerly course to the place of beginning.
