Warranty Deed on file in Putnam Co., NY, Liber 48, pp. 225-226, from William L. Horton of Yorktown to Gilbert Hadden of Putnam Valley. Deed was dated 9 June 1859. Consideration was $50. Witness was G. W. Travis. Land was in Putnam Valley:

Beginning at a heap of stones in the line of AMOS CONKLIN, deceased thence along same north 6 degrees 30 minutes west 16 chains 70 links to a chestnut stump and thence south 42 degrees west 4 chains 80 links to a chestnut oak stump and stones thence south 11 degrees 44 minutes west 3 chains 90 links to a heap of stones in the line of land now or late of JON DARROW thence with same due east 9 chains to the place of beginning. Containing 10 acres.

Part of the farm late of DR. E. CORNELIUS, deceased.
