John & Mary Likely to William Hadden [O:122]

Deed on file in Putnam Deed Book O, pp. 122-125, between John Likely and Mary his wife to William Hadden, all of Philipstown. Deed is dated 1 April 1822, recorded 2 September 1840. Consideration was $550. Witnesses were Samuel? Tompkins and Abm. Smith. Land was in Philipstown:

Beginning at a maple tree on the east hill? of Long Pond and corner of other lands belonging to said Likely thence with the same north 86 degrees east 33 chains 20 links to a stake and stones and land of WIDOW MCCABES land, thence with the same north 80 degrees east 17 chains 94 links to an old chestnut tree and in the line of DANIEL BAYERS land then with the same south 89 degrees west 19 chains to a stake and stones in the swamp thence north 1 degree east 4 chains 92 links to a (?) rock to the corner of JOHN L? HORTONS land thence with the same west 20 chains to a maple stump by the pond aforesaid thence southerly with said pond to the place of beginning. Containing 78 acres.
