Putnam County Deed on file Book U, Page 112, between Isaac and Elizabeth H. Bideau of Fishkill and Samuel Head of Carmel, dated 11 Dec 1847, witnessed by Amzi L. Dean. Consideration of $100 given. Land described is in Carmel:

Beginning at a stake and stones on the south side of the highway leading from the Presbyterian Church Red Mills to ELIAS BANKERS land westerly point of the lot of land about to be described and in the north line of WILLIAM PIERCE'S land at a corner of a wall opened for the new road to pass through then south 54 degrees east along the line of said Pierce as the wall now stands to a pile of stones on the west side of said Pierce's orchard then north 25 1/2 degrees east along Pierce's land to a stake and stones then (easterly?) to the east point of the lot of land now being described and along the line of said Pierce's as the fence now stands where it strikes is the highway before mentioned thence with and along the south side of said highway to beginning. Said land being a (part?) or piece of lands (...illegible...) the farm on his south side of said Isaac Badeau's farm by reason of the highway aforesaid being opened and containing...one acre of land.
