[NOTE: William Hadden's probate was recorded in Putnam County, Old Estates Book B, Pages 193-194, File #825, year 1842. (Per House of Hadden, Record of Old Estates, Putnam County, Book B, page 194.) There was also a Letter of Administration filed in Book 2, page 203. William died in Philipstown (now Putnam Valley). His widow was stated as Nancy who was deceased by the time of filing of probate or petition.]

William, son of William, deceased filed a petition 14 June 1842 stating that William died 2 November 1837 intestate and that the value of his personal property was about $100.

He left his widow Nancy, now deceased. His children were named as: Polly Dailey, wife of Jason Dailey, now deceased; Isaac Hadden; Gilbert Hadden; Betsy, wife of Daniel Hunt; Jane wife of Reuben Tompkins; William Hadden, petitioner; all of Putnam County; Robert Hadden of Dutchess Co., his children, and Fanny, James, Amanda, Harriet and Samuel Hadden, children of Samuel Hadden deceased and grandchildren of William as his only next of kin.
