USGenNet  is a nonprofit corporation. Our Bylaws are very precise - the corporation may not ever be sold, and if it should fail for any reason, the assets of the corporation can only be disposed of by  giving them (not selling them) to another nonprofit. USGenNet is not allowed the option of selling out, ever. All  donations to USGenNet are tax-deductible. We have put our IRS approval as well as our Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation online for anyone to read  for themselves. Our financial records are also accessible online. All these things are linked toward the bottom of our main page at  www.usgennet.org in the section marked "Open Book". We believe in the Open  Book policy and invite anyone who wishes to go have a look through our books  before they make a donation.
