| Barns are frequent subjects for
artists, whom we have to thank for the preservation of our past. In
part, it was the water colors given to my father that hung on our walls
that helped to create my interest in historic barns.
Several paintings are displayed here as
examples of some of the wonderful art work that abounds on the subject. |

A local artist, John Morrow of Ogdensburg, gave permission to
display some of his work. Entitled Late Winter Snow, it is of
a barn near to the River in Heuvelton, St. Lawrence County. It
displays north country style in the architecture. More of John's
work can be seen at his gallery or website at http://www.jmorrow.com/
