Marriage Certificate Aaron SUTTON and Anna HAIGHT, 22d 11m 1832 

Aaron SUTTON son of Moses & Rebecca SUTTON of the Town of Somers County of West Chester and State of New York and Anna HAIGHT Daughter of Silas and Rhoda HAIGHT the Former deceased of Nine Partners Town of Washington County of Dutchess and State aforesaid having laid their intentions of Marriage with each other before two monthly Meetings of the Religious Society of Friends held in the Town of Washington they having consent of Parents and nothing appearing to obstruct their proposals of Mariage was allowed by the meeting.  These are to certify that for the accomplishment of their intention this twenty second day of the Eleventh month in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred & thirty two they the said Aaron SUTTON and Anna HAIGHT appeared in a public meeting of said Society held in the Town of Washington and the said Aaron SUTTON taking the said Anna HAIGHT by the hand did on this sollem occation declare that he took her to be his wife promising to be unto her a faithfull and affectionate husband untill seperated by death or words to that affect and then the said Anna HAIGHT did in like manner declare that she took the said Aaron SUTTON to be her Husband promising to be unto hism a faithfull and affectionate wife untill seperated by death or words to that import and they the said Aaron SUTTON and Anna HAIGHT she according to the costom of Marriage assumeing the name of her husband did then and there to these presents set there hands.
