Marriage Certificate Daniel CARPENTER and Phana HAWKSHURST, 20d 2m 1800 

Whereas There hath been Intentions of Marriage Between Daniel CARPENTER Son of Abraham CARPENTER and Lydea his Wife of new Castle County of Westchester & State of New York & Phana HAUKSHURST Daughter of Thomas HAUXHURST and Sarah his Wife of Westbury[?] in Queens County & State a bove Said & They haveing published their Intentions of Marriage at two Mo. Meetings of friends Inquirey Being Made Respecting their Clearness from Others In Relations to marriage Haveing Consent of Parents and there appearing no Cause to Obstruct Therefore on the 10th Day of the 2d Mo. 1800 At a publick meeting of Friends at a meeting at the Meeting house at Shapaqua the above Saide Daniel Carpenter takeing the above Said Phanne HAUXHURST By the hand did Declare that he took the Sd. Phanne HAUXHURST to be his Wife promising to be Unto her a Faithfull and Loving husband Until Death Should Separate them and Also the Sd. Phane HAUXHURST Whilst holding the Said Daniel CARPENTER by the hand did declare that She took the Said daniel Carpenter to be her husband and did promise To be unto him A faithfull and Loveing Wife Untill Death Should Separate them or Words to that Import.  Moreover they the Said Daniel Carpenter and Phane her now Wife She assuming the Name of her husband did hereunto Set their Hand, the day and year above Writen
