Whereas David DICKERSON son of Zebediah DICKERSON and Elizabeth his wife of the town of Coxsackie County of Green in the State of New York and Elizabeth ROBERTSON daughter of Rowland ROBERTSON of the town of Esopus County of Ulster in the state afforsaid deceased & Elizabeth his wife having declared their intention of Marrige before two monthly meetings of the people calld Quakers held at the Creek in Clinton in the State afforsd they having consent of parents and parties conserned and nothing to obstruct their sd. proposals were allowd of by the meetg Now these are to certify to all whome it may Consern that for that for the full accomplishment of their Sd. intentions this 23d of 6mo 1803 they the sd. David DICKERSON & Elizabeth ROBINSON appeared in a publick [sic] of sd. people at Crumelbow in Clinton afforsd. and he the sd. David DICKERSON taking the sd. Elizabeth ROBINSON by the hand did openly declare that he took hir to be his wife promising threw divine assistance to be unto her a faithful and loving wife untill deth seperate them or words to that Effect And then the sd. Elizabeth ROBINSON did in like [...] took the sd. David DICKERSON to be her husband promising threw divine assistance to be unto him a faithful & loving husband[sic] untill deth sepirate them or words to that import and morover they the sd. David DICKERSON & Elizabeth ROBINSON she according to the custom of marrige assuming the name of her husband as a further confirmation did then to these presents set their handsl David DICKERSON Elizah. DICKERSON And we whose names are here unto subscribed being present at the solemnization of marrige and subscription have as witness set our hands the day and year above written.
