Marriage Certificate David MARSHALL and Hannah LOUNSBURY, 28d 11m 1799 

Whereas David MARSHALL son of Francis MARSHALL and Deborah his wife of Easton and County of Washington in the State of New York and Hannah LOUNSBURY daughter of Michael LOUNSBURY and Latisha his wife of Amenia Town in the State aforesaid having declard their Intentions of marriage with each other, before two Monthly meetings of the People called Quakers Held at the Great Nine Partners in the state aforesaid, according to the good order used amongst them and they having consent of parents and parties concerned and nothing appearing to obstruct their said proposals were allowd of by said meeting.

Now these are to certify all whom It may concern that for the full accomplishment of their said Intentions this Twenty Eighth day of Eleventh month in the year one thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Nine, They two David MARSHALL and Hannah LOUNSBURY appeard in a public meeting meeting[sic] of the said people at Nine Partners aforesaid and the said David MARSHALL taking the said Hannah LOUNSBURY by the hand did in a Solemn manner openly Declare that he took the said Hannah LOWNSBURY to be his wife promising through divine assistance to be unto her a faithfull and loving Husband untill death Separate them or words to that Effect.

And then and there the in the said assembly the said Hannah took the said David MARSHALL to be her husband promising through Divine assistance to be unto him a faithfull and loving wife untill death seperate them or words to that Import.  And moreover they the said David MARSHALL & Hannah LOWNSBURY she according to the custom of marriage assuming the name of her husband as a further confirmation thereof did then & their to these presents set their hands.

And we whose names are hereunto subscribed being present at the solemnization of sd. marriage and subscription have as witnesses hereunto set our hands the day and year above written.
