Henry C. SUTTON of the town of New Paltz County of Ulster and State of New York, son of David SUTTON and Sophia [indecipherable] his wife, and Elizabeth D. GARMO daughter of Peter DGARMO and Mary his wife of the Town of Hyde Park County of Dutchess and State of New York, having said their intentions of marriage with each other before two monthly meetings of the religious Society of friends held at Crum Elbow and Creek in the State aforesaid, they having consent of Parents and nothing appending to obstruct the said proposal of marriage, was allowed by the meeting. They are to certify that for the accomplishment of their intentions this twenty-fourth day of third month, in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five they the said Henry C. SUTTON and Elizabeth DGARMO appeared in a public meeting of said Society held at Crumelbow and the said Henry C. SUTTON taking the said Elizabeth DGARMO by the hand did on this solemn occation declare that he took her to be his wife promising through Divine assistance to be unto her a faithful and loving husband untill seperated by death, or words to that effect, and then the said Elizabeth DGARMO did in like manner declare that she took the said Henry C. SUTTON to be her husband promising through devine assistance to be unto him a faithful and loving wife untill Sepperate by, or words to that import, and they the said Henry C. SUTTON and Elizabeth DGARMO, she according to the custom of marriage assuming the name of her husband as a farther confirmation thereof, did then and there to these presents set their hands. Henry C.
