Marriage certificate Henry RICKETSON and Grace T. POWELL, 26d 10m 1837

 Henry RICKETSON Junr Town of Union Vale County of Dutchess & State of New York & Grace T. POWEL of the Town of Clinton County of Dutchess & State aforesaid haveing laid their Intentions of Marriage with each other before two Monthly Meetings of the Society of friends held at Crumelbow State of New York they haveing Consent of parrents & nothing appearing to obstruct their proposals of Marriage was allowed by the Meeting These are to Certify that for the accomplishment of their intentions this twenty sixth Day of the tenth Month in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & thirty Seven They the said Henry RICKETSON Junr and Grace T. POWEL appeared in a public meeting of said Society held at Crumelbow and the Said Henry RICKETSON takeing the said Grace T. POWEL by the hand did on this solemn occasion Declare that he took her to be his wife promising through divine assistance to be unto her a faithful and loveing husband until Seperated by death or words to that effect & then the said Grace T. POWEL did in like manner declare that she took the said Henry RICKETSON to be her husband promiceing through divine assistance to be unto him a faithful and loveing wife until Seperated by death or words to that import and they the said Henry RICKETSON & Grace T. POWEL She according to the Custom of Marriag assumeing the name of her husband as a farther confirmation thereof did then and there to these presents set their hands
