Henry ROBINSON of Austerlitz, in the county of Columbia, and State of New York, Son of George ROBINSON and Miriam his wife, and Mary MACY daughter of Simeon MACY deceased and Lydia his wife, of Ghent in the county of Columbia and State of New York having laid their intentions of marriage with each other before two monthly meetings of the religious Society of Friends, held in Hudson in the State of New York, they having consent of parents and nothing appearing to obstruct, their proposal of marriage was allowed by the meeting. These are to Certify, that for the accomplishment of their intentions, this first day of the third month, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty Six, they the Said Henry ROBINSON and Mary MACY appeared in a public meeting of Said Society held at Ghent and the Said Henry ROBINSON taking the Said Mary MACY by the hand, did on this Solemn occasion declare, that he took her to be his Wife, promising through divine assistance, to be unto her a faithful and loving husband, until Separated by death, or words to that effect, and then the said Mary MACY did in like manner declare that She took the Said Henry ROBINSON to be her husband promising through Divine assistance to be unto him a faithful and loving Wife, until Separated by death, or words to that import. And they the Said Henry ROBINSON and Mary MACY, She according to the custom of marriage of assuming the name of her husband as a farther confirmation thereof did then and there to these presents set their hands.
