Marriage certificate Horseman MULLINEX and Sarah BLACKMAN, 19d 10m 1769

Whereas there hath been intentions of Marriage between Horseman MOLLINEX of the Township of Rye in the County of Westchester and province of New York and Sarah BLACK[...] of North Castle in the County and Province aforesaid and they having Published their intention of Marriage at two of the Monthly Meetings of the People Called Quakers, and there appearing no Just Cause to [...] or their takeing each other in Marriage According to Gods Ordinance and
the good order of the Truth that is Used amongst the People aforesaid,
Therefore on the nineteenth Day of the tenth month in the year of Our Lord one thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty nine, at a publick meeting of the aforesaid People and others held at the meeting House at Shapaqua the aforesaid Horsman MOLLINEX taking the Said Sarah BLACKMAN by the hand did declare that he took her to be his Wife Promising to be a true and Loving Husband Untill Separated by Death, and the Said Sarah BLACKMAN holding Said Horsman MOLLINEX by the Hand did declare that She took him for her Husband, promising to be a true and Loving Wife until Separated by Death, or Words to that Purpose, Wherefore She now Assumeth the Name of Her Husband; and as a further Confirmantion of their Promises to each Other the Said Horsman MOLLINEX and Sarah his wife have hereunto Subscribed their Names in the Presence of us Whose names are hereunto Subscribed as Witnesses of the Same.
