Marriage Certificate Isaac WASHBURN and Ann DODGE, 16d 2m 1832 

Isaac WORSHBURN of Shappaqua Town of New Castle county of Weschester and State of New York son of Daniel WORSHBORN and Nancy his wife Deceased, and Ann DODGE daughter of Thomas DODGE and Hannah his wife of the Town, County and State afforsaid having laid their intentions of Mariage with each other before two Monthly Meetings of the religious Society of Friends held at Shappaqua in the state of New York they having Concent of surviving parents and nothing appearing to obstruct, their proposals of Marriage was allowed by the Meeting These are to Certify that for the accomplishment of their intentions this Sixteenth day of the Second Month in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five they thee Said Isaac WASHBORN and

Ann DODGE appeared in a public Meeting of Said Society held at Sappaqua and the said Isaac WORSHBORN taking the said Ann DODGE by the hand, did on this Solemn occasion declare, that he took her to be his wife prommising through Divine assistance to be unto her A faithfull and loving husband, untill separated by Death or words to that effect, and then the Said Ann DODGE did in like manner, declare that she took the said Isaac WARSHBORN to be her Husband, promising through Divine assistance to be unto him A faithfull and loving wife, until separated by death, or words to that effect, And they the Said Isaac WARSHBORN and Ann DODGE She according to the custom of Marriage, assuming the Name of her Husband as a further confirmation thereof, did then and there to these presents set their hands.
