MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES
The links below will take you to a transcription of the
original marriage certificate. I tried to transcribe each record as it was
originally written, with the exception of placing surnames in all caps.
Listed at the top of each certificate is the source where I obtained my original
copy. These certificates represent only a small fraction of
those available for each monthly meeting. An important and
unique feature of Quaker marriage certificates is the list of witnesses at the
bottom. Although relationships are not stated, it is often possible to
find many relatives among the witnesses. Pay special attention to the
dates, as the calendar changed in 1752. For an explanation and helpful
