"Pleasant Valley" (News) The funeral of Andrew Lake, who died at his home in this village
Monday after a long illness, was held Wednesday afternoon, the service
being in charge of Rev. W. R. Meeker, assisted by Rev. R. R. Upjohn.
The interment was in the Presbyterian Cemetery. The members of the
G. A. R. participated in the commital services. Prof. DuMond making
the address. The deceased was a veteran of the Civil War, and the
pall bearers were Messrs. Richard Cady, Walter Cady, Calvin Masten,
Everett Fraleigh, John Millspaugh and Silas Albertson. The
deceased leaves to mourn his loss his widow, five sons and three daughters.
ANDREW LAKE was born 28 February 1846 in Verbank, Dutchess County, New York and died 20 March 1911 in Pleasant Valley, Dutchess Co., NY . Andrew is buried in the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Churchyard Andrew Married MARY FRANCES ODELL born 29 October 1853. Mary is buried alongside her husband in the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Churchyard Their 9 Children: ORIN E. LAKE b: 10 July 1870 ALEXANDER LAKE b: 24 December 1872 JAMES D. LAKE b: 22 February 1875 MARY F. LAKE b: 26 July 1876 [She predeceased her father] ALVERETTA LAKE b: 14 August 1879 ARTHUR JAMES LAKE b: 28 February 1881 FREDERICK LAKE b: 01 July 1883 ALICE MAY LAKE b: 09 May 1892 LIDA D.
