I have many sources telling me of Henry Spears CLOUD, Jr. being born in Clinton Co., OH. I also am having trouble finding any record of his death in the year 1835-37. He is buried in the Lynchburg I.O.O.F Cemetery. Some people get Henry Spears and his son Henry Silas confused. All of Henry and Ann Laymon Cloud's childred moved to IN except one, Jacob Laymon CLOUD. If any one could point me in the right direction, I and many other Clouds would be delighted. .

Searching for info on John STONE husband of Margaret HALLAM. They m. Mar. 26, 1829 in Clinton Co. I have quite a bit of info on the HALLAMs, but nothing on John STONE. He may have died around 1840. Anyone have a clue? .

Am looking for descendants and antecedents of Silas DEVOE and Catherine Spears HOOVER married on or about 1864. (1867?) Children were: Martha Elixabeth DEVOE, b. 1865; Samuel Lewis DEVOE, b.1866; Mary Anna Belle DEVOE, b. 1869; and Frances Minnie DEVOE, b. 1873. My grandfather was Samuel. I know that Silas' parents were John HOOVER(b.1813) and Martha ? (b.1816), married 1835?, and I know their children's names. But have no information at all on their location. Ohio? Any information would be appreciated. FAIRFAX surname and RUPERT surname also in family. Clinton county? .

I found in the 1860 and 1870 George H. HOOVER, age 30 and Nancy age 34 with a John Thomis age 11, all being in same house hold and in 1870 just George and Nancy are alone. Does any one know where they are buried or who George H. HOOVER's parents might be? I assume this Nancy is Nancy SHERIFF becaues of civil war records list her as his 1st wife. She died in July 1868 don't know where. Any information on these people would be appreciated. I also found in 1850 census in Licking co. George H. HOOVER age 16 living with a George H. Hoover and Cathain M with Justus C. and Henry C. Not sure if this is the same George H. HOOVER. If anyone has information please let me know. Thank you .

I am looking for information on my husband's great great grandfather, Shobal ELLIS. He was born Maryland 1760 - 1770. Married in Greenville, TN 11-2-1776. Moved to Clinton County, Ohio around 1810 and then moved to Vermilion County, IL around 1820. His daughter, Susannah, was born, I believe in Clinton County. Gordon HOWARD died Clinton Co., Ohio 1843, his son Joseph and Joseph's wife Mary Hannah SMITH both died and are buried in Clinton Co., OH as is Mary's father, Daniel SMITH. Children of Joseph and Mary are: Rebecca who married a William Miner BROWN in 1824 Sarah Burr who married Minor DANIELS in 1821 Miner Burr died in steamboat fire in St. Louis 1842 Lytle S. who married Ann BERKLEY in 1837 Miriam S. who married Henry BURGE and then Israel JOHNS Elisha S. buried in Stewartsville, MO Nathaniel A. married Mary Ann ROUNDTREE and then Prudance KERNS, he died and is buried in Winchester, KS Phobe who married Charles WILEY Mary who married Thomas W.
