I am looking for my gr gr gr gr grandfather, the Reverand David D. JOHNSON, a Baptist minister. David was born Oct. 21, 1816 and died May 3, 1906 in Jamestown, Ohio. David pastored several churches in the Clinton County area from 1850 until 1889. My address is 1333 Wonderlick Rd. Lima, Ohio 45805 .

I'm looking for John GRIFFITH and Hannah GRIFFITH who came to Wilmington, OH around 1804 and purchased to parcel of property in the town of Clinton now know as Wilmington. They where here until at least the 1860 census and John was around 60 years old, but that's the last trace I can find of them. There are no records showing them buried in Clinton County. Some say they moved to Morgan County, Indiana. I have found one there children there but neither one of them are buried in Morgan county. Any help would be much appreciated.. Thank you . .

Abraham WRIGHTSMAN, was born in NC and died in IN, but lived in Clinton County, OH for several years. His probable brother, Jacob WRIGHTSMAN, died in Clinton County in 1814 and an Abraham WRIGHTSMAN is named as an appraiser for the estate. Jacob's probable widow, Nancy WRIGHTSMAN, marries William SMITH on 23 May 1816. .

Looking for information about me ggmother, Dora Ora TRENNARY DICKEY. Dora was adopted, and I'm told that TRENARY may be her given name and DICKEY her adopted name. (Or... it may be the other way around.) I believe that Dora's adopted mother's name was Minnie or Minerva, and that she later remarried to a Mark CLARK. Dora later married Harry Meredith ROBINSON and moved to Mt. Healthy Ohio. Thanks for any information on these surnames in Clinton County. .

I am seeking the parents of John COLEMAN (or COLMAN, COALMAN, etc.), b. 1805 or 1806 in Ohio (county unknown), and I am interested in learning more about the families of Charles COLEMAN and James COLEMAN, who lived in Clinton Co., OH in 1820 and had a male children 10 to 15 years old in their households. I've found my gggg grandfather, Aaron OXLEY (Clarksville, OH). He died in Clinton Co Ohio in April, 1879. He appears to be (from a newspaper clipping) the grandfather of may gg grandmother Jemimah COLLINS. I'm not sure of the generation between the OXLEYS and the COLLINS. Does anyone have any information on this. I would also be interested in the obituary for Aaron OXLEY. .
