Mary A. RUNYON (Runyan)(born about 1817) was married to Ira LUDDINGTON(or Ludington) on 4 July 1838 in Clinton County, Ohio. They had a son named Hisler (Heisler), born in Warren County, Ohio about 1843. Ira was Hisler's father, but I'm not certain Mary was his mother. Hisler was living with William and Sarah CHANEY (Cheney) in Clermont county, Ohio in the 1950 census. Ira had married again (Margaret SHOEMAKER) in 1848, so Hisler's mother may have died. Hisler moved to Illinois by 1860, fought in the Civil War, then settled in Montgomery County, IN. I'm looking for any information on Ira LUDINGTON, Mary RUNYON, Margaret SHOEMAKER, or Willima & Sarah CHANEY that will lead to Ira & Hisler. .

Have 15,800 people on my tree, back to 1700's, up 16 branches, but can't find a thing on my great-grandmother! I think she was beamed down from a galaxy far far away. Her maiden name was Violetta B. aka Letta JONSON. Her marriage certificate she was 19, born in Ohio. Father's name is L. H. JONSTON but the "t" is very dark, as if it was added later. She was married 'at the residence of the bride's parents" in Middlefork Township, Vermilion County, IL on 10/18 1883. (a farming community 7 miles east of the Illinois/Indiana border on the east border of Illinois, halfway down, between Indianapolis, Indiana and Champaign/Urbana, IL along Highway 74). That would make her birth date 1864. Does anyone know of her, or might you have a lead for me? .
