Seeking information on a RYAN family who came to Clinton in the early 1860s, James H. and Clara McKEE RYAN. She is buried in Wilmington, Oh. They died in 1863, leaving 11 children who ranged in ages from abt 23 to 4 mos.: Wiley James RYAN; Garret RYAN; Thomas Fortune RYAN (who was listed in the Tn 1850-1860 census as William Simpson); James RYAN (who was listed in the same census as Martin L) RYAN Mary Eliza RYAN; John H RYAN; Peri Lea RYAN; Sarah C RYAN; Almeda RYAN; DeWitt RYAN; Clara J RYAN. These children may have been adopted for the most part but do not know how to go about finding out. I know about Almeda, Wiley James and DeWitt Clinton but can find nothing on the others. Mary Eliza m a Mr Wright, Peri Lea m a Mr Brown, Sarah C m a Mr Thompson and Clara J m a Will Johnson. Almeda m Harry Stanley Miller. On the marriage license her name was Almeda R. FOOS. Was this her adopted name or was she married prior to Miller? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. .

I am a NAME for the Cave Research Foundation. We are trying to locate any possible diaries, journal articles, or travel logs which may describe trips in Mammoth Cave prior to its becoming a Nat'l Park. We would appreciate any information you could supply on the following person: Harry WALKER. He visited the cave on October 23 1894. I am trying to locate any information about Isaac CARPENTER. He was listed in the 1820 and 1830 U.S. Census as residing in Chester Twp. At this time, I have not been able to review the census entries for either year. I hope he may be the Isaac Carpenter that left an estate to the children of John CARPENTER in Highland Co., approximately 1837 to 1840. I'm not certain if they were father and son, brothers or some other relation. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks. .

James H.DOTTS was born December 14, 1828 in Sabina, OH, and died March 3, 1909, Vinita OK. He married Leah MCKAY in Sabina, OH not sure which County in OH she was born.
