Benjamin was born in Delaware. Benjamin married Mary BROWN in adjacent Warren County in 1814. He lived in Clinton County until about 1858 when he moved his family to McDonough County, Illinois. I am searching for Benjamin's parents. His father may have been Levin MURPHY who purchased land near Todd's Fork in Clinton County in 1818. .
