Elizabeth died 3 May1889, giving birth to my grandmother, Golda Mae SKIMMINGS, and her twin who died during the birth. Golda was born in Morrisville in Clinton County and was given shortly after her birth to James and Mary BROWN who raised, but never adopted, Golda. Golda was about 8 when the BROWNS moved to Van Wert County Ohio. Thanks. .

CARTWRIGHT, MOORE, ROBERTS, VANPELT, WARDEN posted by Sharon Lytle on Wednesday, April 26, 2000: I am looking for information on the CARTWRIGHT family of Richland Twp. I have an Isaac and Rhoda CARTWRIGHT listed there in 1860 with three sons (Marshall, Willis, & Thomas). Isaac and Rhoda disappear from the 1870 census and Thomas is found working as a farm hand for Elias Roberts at the age of 12. If Isaac & Rhoda died between 1860 and 1870 what would be the most likely cemeteries for them to have been buried? Which might help locate where they lived are VAN PELT (Thomas married into family), ROBERTS, MOORE (Thomas worked on farm in 1880). Also, the 3 older of Thomas' children were listed as being born in Sabina. Thanks for the help. .
