GIBSON, SALLY posted by Virginia Flesher on Friday, December 1, 2000: Having found that Luna, sometimes referred to as Looney SALLY, sometimes referred to as SALLA, married for the second time in Shelby Co IN, where his parental family was found in 1840, 1850 and 1860, and knowing he was born in OH 1823, and that his marriage record says he was b Clinton Co OH, and his father was Thomas G.M. SALLY, his mother, Sarah GIBSON, I searched in Clinton Co marriage book, found his parents married there 14 Jun 1821. I find Thomas SALLY in Clinton Co Clark twp in 1830. I do not know Thomas' parents, but he was b NC. Sarah was b in TN, c1807. Thomas GIBSON was in Clinton Co OH 1830, in Clark township also, on same page (251) as SALLY family, one m un 5, 1 m 5-10, 1 m 30-40, 1 m 60-70, 1 f un 5, 2 f 4-10, 1 f 10-15, 1 f 30-40. John SALSBURY lived in Vernon Twp. 1827-1830 which became Marion Twp. in 1831 where he owned 190 acres of land in Survey #6321 in Clinton Co. OH. Children: Margaret m. George and Susanna had 5 children: Martha, Jacob, Amos, Elizabeth and Alfred. The oldest children were born in OH and the younger ones in IN.
