However, members without e-mail will continue to receive their newsletter through the postal system.
Meetings: Regular society monthly general membership meetings and programs will be discontinued temporarily starting January 2010. The society will hold only quarterly executive board meetings, which anyone may attend. Board meetings are held quarterly the 3rd Tuesday in March, June, September, and December starting at 5:30 p.m. Those interested in attending board meetings should contact the office to add their names to the contact list. The annual July picnic (2nd Monday) and December Christmas dinner (1st Monday) will continue to be held. This temporary measure has been taken due to lack of interest and participation.
First Families and Pioneer Families: Individuals with Guernsey County roots interested in applying for induction into Guernsey County First Families or Pioneer Families must obtain a blank application, an acceptable documentation list, the rules list, and release forms from the Society office.
