T. Elmer and Jennie, both natives of Guernsey County moved from Scio ,Harrison County to Alliance ,Stark County when Scio and Mount Union Colleges merged. T.Elmer started his teaching career in Guernsey County when he was issued a state certificate at the age of 12. One of their daughters was Jennie Martelle [Trott] Dixon, 1909-1997 ,my maternal grandmother.
