Last Will and Testament of

William HAMMOND

I William Hammond of the County of Guernsey in the State of Ohio being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding thanks be to Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say: That my real estate be sold to the best advantage by my Executors and divided in the following manner, Likewise my moveable property, except what is bequeathed:

First: It is my will that my funeral expenses and all jut debts be fully paid.

Second: I give and devise to my eldest son James Hammond one dollar.

Third: I give and devise to my second son David P. Hammond thirty-five dollars.

Fourth: I give and devise to my third son John M. Hammond thirty-five dollars including the building of a barn in the same.

Fifth: I give and devise to my eldest daughter Polly Hammond the black mare, her bed and bedding, and the red cow, and forty dollars.

Sixth: I give and devise to my second daughter Pera Hammond one bed and bedding, and fifty dollars.

Seventh: I give and devise to my third daughter Lissa (hard to read) Jane Hammond fifty dollars.

Eighth: I give and devise to my fourth daughter Anny Hammond eighty dollars.

Ninth: I give and devise to my youngest son William Hammond one hundred and five dollars and it is my will that he be bound to a trade that will be to the best advantage by his Guardian.

And lastly I hereby constitue and appoint Robert Ross and Robt. McCall to be the Executors of this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of August A.D. 1830.
