Mrs. Jane Stultz entertained a party of relatives from Peebles Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Weaver were the guests Sunday of Charles Williams and family.

Miss Etta Seaman, of west Union is spending several days with her sister, Mrs. Barklay Butler.

The Y.P.B.'s were entertained Friday night s the pleasant home of Miss Hazel Ferneau, near Pisgah.

Mts. Harry Weaver and little daughter of Pomeroy are guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Butler.

Mrs. Charles Bobb and children of Olive Branch, spent Saturday night and Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Hite.

At a meeting of the Board of Education last week the teachers, for the next school term were employed as follows: Primary, Miss Imogene Kesler; Advance, O.A. Tener; High school, Rev. Ditmer.

Orville Roads is confined to the house with an attack of the mumps.

A large crowd attended the commencement exercises Saturday night. The members of the class were: Glen Fry, Cora Lowe, Hazel West, Clarice Roads, Glenn Hiser, Gladys Tener, Lyman Suiter, Charles Gray, Chester Simians Hollie Arnold and Fay Eubanks and they all acquitted themselves well. The address was made by Thomas Berry of Hillsboro Rev. Ditmer, of Harriett, presented the diplomas.

Jerry Case, of Loudon, spent Saturday and Sunday with his daughter, Mrs. Fenton Thompson.

Mrs. Nan. Gall had as her guest Wednesday and Thursday of last week her grandson, Lieut. John W. (A.) Patton, who was enroute from his home at White Cloud, Kan., to Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, where he will serve in the capacity of veterinarian for the army horses. Lieut. Patton gives up a lucrative practice in the west to do his part in the war. Shortly after Dr. Patton enlisted and received his commission the farmers and stockmen of his community petitioned the War Department to keep him on the inactive list as long as possible, which is evidence that his services were most satisfactory among his many patrons. Lieut. Patton's wife and two interesting babies will remain for the present in White Cloud.

Charles Lawson and family, of Springfield, are guests of Mrs. Lawson's father , F.M. Garman

Mrs. Ella Webb and grandson Cloyce Webb, of Perrysburg, are guests of her sister, Mrs. John W. Hite, and other relatives.

Mrs. Nan. Gall, Dr. John A Patton and T.H. McClure and family were entertained Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Suiter.

Lawrence Kesler and family, of New York are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Butler.

Mrs. Bessie Suffron, of Peebles, spent a few days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs George C. Johnson.

Mr. and Mrs W.T. Shannon of Folsom are guests at the home of Charles Shoemaker and family
