Guardianship Record Involving Joseph Philips-1826


Will Packet 480 Highland County, Ohio

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, THAT WE Daniel Burris Valentine Roads & Joseph W. Spargur all of Highland county and state of Ohio in the penal sum of two hundred dollars, current money of the United States: to the payment of which, well and truly to be made and done to the said state of Ohio, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, and aministrators, jointly and severally, firmly, by these presents. In testimony whereof, we hereunto subscribe our names and affix our seals, this 27th day of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and 26.

WHEREAS, Daniel Burris was this day chosen guardian of Joseph Phillips a minor heir and legal representative of John Phillips deceased, over the age of fourteen years:---Now the condition of the above Obligation is such, that if Daniel Burris guardian as aforesaid, will discharge with fidelity the trust reposed in him and render an accurate statement of his transactions, with a just account of the profits arising and accruing from the real or personal estate of said ward and deliver up the same to the Court when thereunto required: then this Obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue in law.
