Looking for info on parents of Letha PERKINS Wright Boggs (my grandmother) and her brother Joseph "Joe" Perkins. Letha was b. 1877 and Joe in 1878, both in Indian Territory, Atoka Co. as far as I know. Letha married James T. Wright c. 1898, and they had the following children:
William "Bill" married Alpha Swafford
Maggie married Quillar McElfresh
Laura married P. Y. Jarvis
Katie married Toney T. Green
Otis "Oat" married Ermine Singleton
Helen married Herbert "Herb" Green, and Jim Wright.
James T. Wright died in 1918 and Letha married William P. Boggs (my grandfather) in August 1920 in Atoka Co., OK. William also had children from previous marriages, however, my mother, Dorotha Inez BOGGS Lindsey was the only child of Letha and William Boggs.
Some family members say Letha and Joseph Perkins were orphans, however I have not been able to prove this, nor have I been able to locate orphanages in the Atoka area for that time period.
Any help appreciated...............
