Jack Lee Holt was born December 21, 1928 at Gage, Oklahoma to Sammie and Sarah (Barnes) Holt. He graduated from Gage High School in 1947, and helped his father on the family farm. In 1950, he enlisted in the United States Navy, and served in the Korean conflict. Following his discharge, Jack returned to Gage for a brief period of time. He then moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he worked as an electrician.

On April 15, 1955, he married Betty Roll at Clayton, New Mexico and the resided at Wichita, Kansas. They later made their home in Gage where they were engaged in farming and ranching. Jack studied to become an electronics technician at Okmulgee, Oklahoma State Tech school. They then spent several years at Plano, Texas before returning to Gage in 1971. In 1975 they made their home at Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jack was a member of the Tulsa Glue-Dobbers Club that built and flew radio controlled model airplanes. He was an avid fisherman and loved to go quail hunting.

Mr. Holt died March 10, 2000 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of 71 years, two months and 19days.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Jack is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home, two sons, Kent Holt, of Claremore, Oklahoma and Daryl Holt and his wife, Wendy, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; his mother Sarah Holt of Gage; two sisters, RaeDean Hamaker and her husband, Harold, of Fargo, and Reta Fessler, of Lewisville, Texas; five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and other relatives and friends
