Ornan Robert Allen

The funeral for Ornan Robert Allen will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Interment will be at Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.

Mr. Allen, 96, of Abilene, Texas, formerly Ashland, died Monday, February 9, 2004 at the Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. He was born October 20, 1907 at Shattuck, Oklahoma, the son of Stella and Ezekiel Allen. He was raised and attended schools in Oklahoma.

On July 13th, 1935 at Rush Springs, Oklahoma he married the former Dorothy Brown, who preceded him in death in 1994. Mr. and Mrs. Allen lived in Tolleson, Arizona for many years where they raised their family. In 1964, they moved to Ashland. In 1996, Mr. Allen moved to Abilene, Texas.

Surviving are: four sons, Terrell Wayne Allen of Honolulu, Hawaii, Jimmie Robert Allen of Ogden, UT, William Harley Allen of Abilene, TX, and Phillip Ray Allen of Roseburg, OR; 1 daughter, Lorraine Nichols of Medford; 1 brother, Pete Allen of Brentwood, CA; 1 sister, Pearl Andre of Tempe, AZ; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
