ELLIS COUNTY CAPITAL
ARNETT, OKLAHOMA
FEBRUARY 7, 1913

John Bedey son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bedey was born in Woodberry Co., Iowa, November 25th, 1886. Died at Arnett, Ellis County Oklahoma, February 3rd, 1913. Aged 26 years, 2 months and 8 days. He removed from his home in Iowa with his parents about eight years ago coming to Oklahoma and locating on a claim west of Arnett.

He was a good upright young man, honest and well liked and respected by all who knew him. He was he was a hard working and trustworthy young man and could be depended upon.

He was a strong robust healthy man and was never sick until his fatal sickness attacked him about three weeks ago, which proved to be the dreaded disease of Pneumonia, he was under the doctors care two weeks, he bore his sickness patiently up to the last and passed away without a struggle at 10 a.m. Monday morning February 3rd.

The funeral services was held at the Methodist Church at Arnett Tuesday at 1 o'clock attended by a large crowd of relatives and friends. After the service the body was interred at the Arnett Cemetery.
