Funeral service for Pryor Reed Boyd were held Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1975, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Arnett. The Rev., Steve Langford of Arnett and the Rev., Randy Boyd of Bethany, Okla., officiated. Interment was in DeBolt Cemetery, at Arnett, Good Samaritan Funeral Service in charge.

Mr. Boyd was the son of John F. and Ida Boyd. He was born at Morton, Ark., Sept. 2, 1903 and departed this life on Novemeber9, 1985, at the age of 72 years.

He came with his parents, to Oklahoma in 1907 to a farm six miles southwest of Arnett. He lived there until his sudden death of a heart attack on November 9.

Mr. Boyd was untied in marriage to Annis Faye Dickson of Arnett on April 4, 1929. To this union were born three sons; Wendall, Leroy and James.

Mr. Boyd served as a the Farm Bureau Agent of Ellis County for 28 years. Through his work, he was widely known through the county and surrounding counties.

He is survived by his wife, Faye, his three sons; Wendall of Bethany, Oklahoma; Leroy of Starkville, Miss.; and James of Abilene, Tex.; three grandson; Randy and Garvin of Bethany, Okla.; Jimmie Lee of Abilene, Tex.; by two granddaughters ; Susann and Diane of Starkville, Miss.; Mr. Boyd is also survived by one brother, Arley, of Arnett and by one sister, Elsie Haley of Plainview, Tex.
