Thomas Clark Brown was born July 9, 1864, in Illinois, and died at his home in Gage, Tuesday, January 15, 1929, at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 9 days. He moved to Kansas with his parents and grew to manhood there.
He was united in marriage to Tena Welch of Lincoln County, Kansas, February 27, 1877. To this union were born 7 children all of which survive him but one girl Aldyth, who passed beyond in 1913, at the age of 16
He came to Oklahoma and took up a claim 6 miles southeast of Gage, in 1967. He united with the Christian Church in 1910 and remained faithful to this faith until his death.
He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, two boys, and four girls, John, Jesse and Madalyne Brown, Mesdmes; Frank Henderson, O. J. Hall and Verne Devore, all of Gage, and a host of friends.
The funeral service was conducted at the Church of Christ by W. W. Funderburgh of Laverne, interment was made at the I. O. O. F. cemetery at Gage.
We wish to thank our many friends for their help, kindness and sympathy shown us during the sickness and death of our beloved husband and father.
We also appreciate the many floral offerings.
