Death Notice from Mike Carpenter:

Our Father, Charles L. Carpenter Passed away Sept 12, 2004 in Tracy Ca.

He passed peacefully in his sleep of natural causes. He was born in Arnett Ok. Jan 4, 1917. He is the last surviving son of William and Magdalina (nee Rucker) Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his brothers Bill, Elmer, Logan, and Jim. He leaves his wife of 55 years Dorothy, sons Lloyd of Pasadena Ca., Charles Jr. of Manteca Ca. Mike of Modesto Ca. and John of Tracy Ca.

Charles (most people called him Les) was a retired Deputy Sheriff in San Joaquin Co. and a veteran of WWII serving in the Aleutian Islands
