Myrtle Cox, wife of Charles O Cox, was born in Cook County, Texas, in the year of 1881. Died at her home three miles east of Reason, April 30th, 1913.
She was married to Chas. O Cox November 21st, 1896, and came to Day County, Oklahoma, in the year of 1900 and settled on a homestead where the family still reside.
A husband and five children are left to mourn her loss, the youngest being only 18 months old.
She was a kind and affectionate wife and mother. A member of the M. E. Church for a number of years, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Much has been taken from this husband and children, and the large circle of relatives and friends sweet ties have been severed, but much is left.
The Christians hope and fadeless memories are still theirs. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. David Hogg, on May 2nd, at the Lone Star school house, attended by a large number of friends and neighbors, after which the body was confined to its last resting place in the Lone Star cemetery.
