C. H. (Shorty) Crider, 65 years old farmer of north of Arnett, died at the home of Mrs. And Mrs. George Priest in Gage, Tuesday morning, following an illness of only a few days. Mr. Cider was stricken on Main street in Gage, Saturday afternoon with a heart attack, he was taken to the home of Mrs. And Mrs. George Priest in Gage where he died Tuesday morning.
Mr. Crider has been a resident of Ellis county for many years, he was popular and well liked, highly respected and honorable in all his business and personal affairs.
The deceased is survived by five brothers and one sister.
Brothers are: Mack, Sam, and Joe Crider of Gage; Jess and Charles Crider of Kechi, Kansas and the sister, Mrs. Alma Kneiber of Wichita, Kansas
The remains were taken to Kechi, Kansas, Wednesday where interment will be made in the family plot. Funeral rites will be held at Kechi, Friday.
Mr. Crider was a member of Masonic and Odd Fellow Lodges of Gage.
