Obituary-- DAVIS

Luetta Florence Eatherly was born March 20, 1852, in Wilson County, Tennessee, and departed this life March 26, 1933, at her home south of Gage, aged 81 years and six days.

She was united in marriage to Jonathan W. Davis, on Dec. 25, 1870, and to this union were born 10 children, five o whom preceded her in death: Cora H., Leona G., Mary M., Lizzie F., and Martha M.

She leaves to mourn her passing: one sister, Mrs. Viola Sullivan, Paris, Texas; her husband, four sons: Joshua Davis, May; Walter E. Davis, Shattuck; Emanuel Davis and Arnold T. Davis, Gage; one daughter, Mrs. Katie L. Skully, Perryton, Texas; 13 grandchildren; one grandson, George Davis, preceded her in death and four great grandchildren.

She leaves numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Interment was made in the Gage Cemetery.

She was converted and united with the M. E. Church South, when a young woman in Tennessee. She remained true to her faith until death and was ready to go.
