The Fritz family lived for a time near Prairie City, Iowa, then moved to Oklahoma in 1902 near Catesby where the parents filed on a homestead. The Fritzes were a staunch, pioneer Seventh-day Adventist family. Father Fritz had been baptized by Elder James White as a young man in Chicago, Ill.
When Miss Fritz was about 14 years of age she was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist faith. Miss Fritz worked as a church school teacher boarding with the Frank Walton family north of Shattuck and later taught at a church school at a small SDA church southeast of Gage where Elder D. F. Sturgeon was pastor. Afterward she moved into Shattuck where she made her home with her sister.
Miss Fritz was preceded in death by her parents, her only sister, Mattie Ellen Fritz, and by her brothers, Elmer Fritz and Alba C. Fritz.
Surviving to mourn her passing are five nieces, Mrs. Mabel Johnson of Washougal, Wash., Mrs. Irene Sattler of Napa, Calif., Mrs. Josephine Knight of Napa, Calif., Mrs. Lula Peterson of Santa Maria, Calif., and Mrs. Marion Borchers of Vancouver, Wash.
