Clarence John Gott, little son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Gott, was born February 23, 1912, died August 3, 1913, age 1 year, 6 months and 10 days.

Little Clarence death saddens the hearts of all who knew him, for he was a dear and loving child, and it was oh so hard to spare him, but the good Lord called him and we know it was for the best.

He was laid to rest in Harmon Cemetery Monday morning at 11:00.

I wonder that so many mothers fret
As little children clinging to their gown,
Or that the footprints when the days are wet
Are even black enough to make them frown
If I could kiss a rosy restless foot
And hear it patter in my house one more.
There is no woman in God's world could say
She was mere blissfully content than I
But Ah! the little pillow next my own
Is never rumpled by a shining head,
My Clarence darling from his nest has flown
The little one we used to kiss is dead.
