Mamie Louellen Hanan died Janaury 28, 2004 at Higgins, Texas. Burial was in the Emmons Cemetery, northeast of Higgins, Texas.
She was born January 21, 1906 at Cleveland, Tennessee to Fountain McWhorter and Josephine (Murphy) Clark. She married John Dennis Boughan July 26, 1924 at Clinton, Oklahoma. To this union were born 6 children. She later married Clarence Hanan 1981 at Arnett, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, daughter Virginia Lee, son Leroy Boughan, 2 grandsons, sisters Flossie Rhodes, Nelia Davidson, brothers Herman and Raymond Clark, and son-in-law Kenneth Stone.
She is survived by daughters Rowena Whittle and husband Roger, Rama Deeds and husband Lewis, sons Buck Boughan and wife Thelma, Pee Wee Boughan and wife Vonda, all of Higgins, Texas, step-children Clifford Hanan, Verle Hanan, Elvina Mitchell, all of Arnett, Oklahoma, Norma Sibley, Denton, Texas, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
