Graveside services for Dorothy Hanlon, 79 year old Woodward resident, were held Friday, February 28, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at the Harmon Cemetery, Harmon, Oklahoma, under the direction of Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Woodward.
Dorothy Faye Hanlon, daughter of Ira and Winnie (O'Hair) Sober, was born on September 23, 1923, on the family homestead, two miles east of Harmon, Oklahoma. Dorothy was married to Patrick J. Hanlon of Harmon on December 16, 1941. She was a homemaker in the rural community of Harmon and Vici until 1960, when her family moved to Woodward, Oklahoma.
Dorothy departed this life on February 22, 2003, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Winnie; her husband, Pat; and infant daughter Linda; and her brother, John Sober.
Survivors are her son Russell Eugene Hanlon of Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Letha Buczinski and Patsy McFarland, both of Woodward, her brother Jerry Sober of Douglas, Wyoming, her aunt, Cora New of Odessa, Texas; Hal O'Hair, an uncle living in Ireland and an uncle, Bill O'Hair of Vici. Dorothy was fortunate to have numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends and neighbors.
