Keith Coolidge Leedy, 80, of Chula Vista, California, died February 20, 2003. He was born in Arnett, Oklahoma and served in the Navy in World War II as a pharmacist mate.
After the War he moved to San Diego, California and was a motor machinist. He owned San Diego Machine Shop for over 25 years. After he retired he and his lovely wife, Helen, traveled all over the world.
Mr. Leedy was a founding member of the South Bay Pioneers in Chula Vista. He was also an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous since 1959.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Helen of the home in Chula Vista; daughters Carol Shean and husband Ken of Woodward, Woodward, Oklahoma; Linda Young and husband Alfred of Spring Valley, California; son, Steven Keith of Chula Vista, California; sister Clara Bruton of Shattuck, Oklahoma; twin brother Kenneth Calvin Leedy of Chula Vista, California. Three grandsons, Kurt Robert and wife Sh'ana of Melbourne, Australia; Kyle Wayne and wife Tami of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Karl Lamont and wife Anne of Rochester, New York. Three great-grandchildren, Imala Ceh Shean of Australia, Ethan Patrick Shean of New York and Takyla Mae Shean of Colorado. Also two-step-great-grandsons Derrick Lewis of Colorado and Rory Constable of Australia.
Funeral services were held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in San Diego, Calif on February 24, 2003.
He will be missed greatly as husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
