Perry J. Lutz

Perry J. Lutz, 80, of Amarillo, Texas, died Friday, June 8, 2001

Services were at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, in Pioneer Chapel at N. S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Robert Lindley officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Lutz was born in Spearman, Texas and raised in Arnett. He was a resident of Amarillo for more than 60 years.

He retired from ASARCO after 33 years.

He married Blanche Hess in 1944 at Amarillo. She passed away in 1991. He married Floretta "Posie" Wright in 1996. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Madelyn Lutz.

Survivors include his wife of Portales, New Mexico; four sons, Don Lutz of Amarillo, W. R. Lutz of Reno, Nevada, Jake Lutz of Victoria, Texas; and Jimmy Knapp of Matamore, Illinois; a brother, Bob Lutz of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Emma Carter of Taft, California, and "Tiny" Collar of Powell, Wyoming; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
